Welcome Wildcat Families! My name is Ann Halwas and I will be serving as the LHE PTA President for 2010-2011 school year. I am excited to serve as president. We have a wonderful group of parents who are serving on our PTA Board this year. Many events are planned for the year and we hope you come and enjoy them all. Remember that we need YOU to attend the events and to volunteer your time. Our new redesigned website contains up-to-date information including the school calendar, PTA contacts, important forms you can download and general information about LHE and the PTA. We are also moving to an EFolder in place of Thursday Folders. We would love for you to sign up to participate in this as it will save money and trees. You will be able to view most of your Thursday Folder documents via email.

You can make this a fantastic year for your children. There are many ways for you to plug into your child’s school life. Volunteer to help with a PTA event (Recycle Round Up, Fall Family Picnic, HOOPS), donate money to our fundraisers, help in your child’s classroom, sign up to be a room parent, join Dad’s Club, sign up to be a chaperone on a field trip, or shelve books in the library. The opportunities are endless. Sometimes the greatest gift you can give is your time. Let’s all work together to make LHE great.
